In August 2025 the hotel was recognised for its efforts in energy management and carbon reduction with ISO 50001 certification. This is internationally recognised standard that provides a comprehensive framework for organisations to establish, implement, maintain, and continually improve energy performance. It focuses on enhancing energy efficiency, optimising usage, reducing consumption, and ultimately lowering environmental impact. This milestone on our sustainability journey underscores our commitment to reducing our carbon footprint and maximising the environmental impact of our operations as we continue to drive more meaningful progress towards a more sustainable future.

At Ariel House, we are proud to support The iNUA Collection’s innovative sustainability initiative, “Clean The Planet, Not My Room”, designed to reduce our environmental impact while giving our guests the opportunity to contribute to a greener future.

A Sustainable Choice for Conscious Travellers

We understand that sustainability is a growing priority for many of our guests. Through this initiative, you can make a positive difference during your stay by opting out of daily housekeeping services. By doing so, you’ll help conserve water, reduce energy use, and minimise the use of cleaning chemicals, all while enjoying added rewards.

How It Works

If  you’re staying with us for more than one night, simply place the Clean The Planet, Not My Room hanger on your guestroom door to let our team know that you wish to skip daily cleaning and fresh towels. In return, you’ll receive:

• A €5 dining voucher for use in our hotel restaurants and cafés.
• A €1 donation to Down Syndrome Ireland, made on your behalf by The iNUA Collection.

Prefer to keep fresh towels but skip the room clean? No problem, you’ll still be contributing to our charitable donation, helping to make a positive social impact in our local community.
