JENNIE MCKEOWN - PROPRIETOR
Jennie is the proud owner of Ariel House. After graduating with a Degree in Hospitality Management, she went on to train with the Four Seasons before moving to London to work in the iconic Claridge’s. Jennie is delighted to have returned home and still works very closely with the team in Ariel House.
Jennie and her dedicated reception team, Emerson, Marija, Serdar and Agothos are always there to provide assistance if you need anything throughout your stay.
Rose and Manu are our very talented chefs, providing delicious award winning breakfasts to all of our guests. Rose has been with Ariel House since the early days with Manu joining nearly a decade ago. Jovan is new to the team but has already brought some great ideas to our breakfast offerings.
Ascencao, Mercia and the rest of the team do an amazing job making sure each of our 37 rooms are cleaned to the highest standard. They are extremely hard working and are an integral part of the operation.
OUTSTANDING SERVICE, LONG LASTING MEMORIES
Generous servings of hospitality and service are two key ingredients of the Ariel House recipe. From the welcome at check in, through to the goodbyes when leaving, we strive to make our guests feel comfortable and well looked after throughout their stay at our Dublin 4 guesthouse.
And as the saying goes, the proof is in the pudding. In 2014, McKenna’s Guides recommended our guesthouse in Dublin as one of the top 100 places to stay in Ireland and Expedia customers, rated Ariel House as one of the top 500 hotels in the world for customer service.
THE HISTORY OF ARIEL HOUSE
If you look closely, you’ll realise that Ariel House is not in fact just one building, but is made up of three splendid Victorian townhouses, seamlessly joined and charmingly laid out. Our role is to keep them alive, vibrant, cared for and open for all to enjoy.
The main house was built back in 1850, during the reign of Queen Victoria, and was originally owned by a wealthy shipping merchant and his family. To this day, you can still see many Victorian features on display throughout our Dublin guesthouse, such as the beautiful bay windows, Flemish brick work, ornate stained glass and sash windows.
Nowadays Ariel House has been sympathetically restored, offering modern amenities, but keeping the style and elegance of a time gone by.
"Over the past decade, we have carefully sourced antique period furniture for many rooms, renovated original cornices, fireplaces and windows, and carefully selected fabrics, wallpapers and furniture that respects and enhances the original architecture."
ACCOLADES & AWARDS
“This beautiful house is a labyrinth of awesome rooms, each one a little different from the others. You cannot go wrong with this as your base of operations! We absolutely loved it!”
MICHIGAN - TRIPADVISOR
“The room was amazing, we had been upgraded to the junior suite. Complete with four poster bed, beautiful views of Dublin and extremely large bathroom. Possibly the nicest room I've ever stayed in.”
IRELAND - TRIPADVISOR
